CUE IN MDO

When it comes to playing pool, the boys from MDO really mean business! Just how good is MDO when it comes to balls and cues? We met the boys at The Billiards Room for the verdict and we’ve got pictures to show!
1) It’s all nice and well before the game but watch out when Abel, Didier, Caleb and Pablo get started- Abel and Pablo in one team against Didier and Caleb in the other.
2) The boys’ competitive nature is already apparent right from the start. ‘How about a thumbs-down to start the game with eh, Abel?’ Caleb later reveals: ‘Pablo isn’t much of a pool player so we’re going to cream Abel!’
3) Abel sips his coke warily as he watches Caleb take his first shot. ‘He’d better not block my balls.’
4) Time to get worried. Teammates Caleb and Didier didn’t count on Abel playing so well- with or without Pablo.
5) Didier takes a shot…
6) … and sinks in a ball… no wait, two balls! ‘There’s one thing I don’t like and that’s losing.’ Didier says.
7) Meanwhile, Team Abel is missing a player.
A distracted Pablo wanders aimlessly round the room and finally decides to people- watch the folks on Trengganu Street. Don’t think he likes pool that much!
8) Caleb studies the positions of the balls with much concentration. ‘There’s too much at stake now.’ He mutters.
9) It’s keropok time! Everyone digs into the bag for the crispy crackers. Abel poses with his: ‘Always time for a snack!’
10) Pablo takes to the keropok like a fish to bait. ‘Mmm, think we’re missing something here… Ah! Tabasco sauce!’ The tiniest bottle of the hot sauce ever seen was fished out of Pablo’s bag, and he promptly empties it onto his keropok. If only we could get him THAT excited about pool…
There’s no telling who actually won because no one stuck to the end! Halfway through, Didier broke off to start another game outside the room. Pablo sprawled himself on the floor with paper and pen and began scribbling his name. Unfazed, Caleb and Abel played on. Guess for the next two hours or so, the boys could forget they are Latin America’s hottest export and just be themselves.
